The curriculum is broadly based, incorporating subjects, topics and activities relevant not only to Zambia but also to the countries to which many of the children go for their secondary education. English, Maths, Science, Geography, History, Literature, Scripture, Music, Art, Craft, Computer Education, PE and French are all included in the curriculum. All classroom teachers hold recognized primary teaching qualifications. Equipment is modern and resources are up-to-date. The school is committed to giving individual attention where possible to children who have learning disabilities or special educational needs.

Many educational and recreational activities take place outside the classroom, taking advantage of the unspoilt beauty of the rural African bush. A river-fed swimming pool is used by the children for most of the year, and the Sakeji River itself provides a wonderful playground for the children’s leisure time.

Games and sports are structured and include soccer, volleyball, softball and rounders. Nchila Game Reserve is located on privately owned land adjacent to the school, and visits to this reserve take place regularly.
