As Sakeji is a Christian school, it is a stated aim of the school not only to teach Godly and Christian standards but also to encourage children to enter into unreserved Christian commitment in life. This aim is supported by regular Christian devotions and prayers throughout the school week, reading and study of the Scriptures both personally and in a class setting, Sunday school lessons each week, and by attendance at the local Lunda church.
The school motto is ‘Tu Vero Permane’ which is the Latin summary of the verses: ‘But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.’ (2 Timothy 3: 14-15)
