New Year’s greetings to all the parents, friends, alumni and supporters of Sakeji School. We are a couple of days into term and are thankful that all the students have arrived back safely for the beginning of a new school year. There are ten new students joining us this year bringing us up to 80 students in total. We pray that all will settle in quickly as they all learn the new ropes.
There are a number of new faces here at Sakeji for a term or two. They include Mr. Ken Thompson, (Ontario-Canada) teaching a variety of subjects in Grades Three to Nine, Miss Jeannie Loudon (US) on a student-teaching experience from Emmaus Bible College, and Miss Sharese Weber (Ontario-Canada) helping out in various classes and small groups. We are thankful they are here and welcome them to Sakeji.
Mr. Jim Smith (England) will be at Sakeji this term to help begin a renovation of the school’s main sitting room. A number of other visitors will be coming for a week or two here and there. We are deeply indebted to those who give of their time and resources in so many ways.
This year, first term will be a shorter term of about 10 weeks, so no doubt time will go by quickly with all of the activities planned. Our Birthday Party theme will be Jungle, so keep a an eye on the website for pictures of that and other events to come.
Mr Ronald – Headmaster
