Since 1925, Sakeji Mission School has been educating children with excellence—preparing them not just for their next academic steps, but for life. Our students are challenged to think deeply, grow in knowledge, and live with integrity.
Our academic program is designed to develop the whole child: intellectually, spiritually, emotionally, and socially. Learning takes place not only in the classroom, but also on the playground, around the dinner table, in conversations with peers, and through hands-on experiences.
Academic learning is only one part of the journey. At Sakeji, we believe that true education includes spiritual and moral development. Through daily Scripture lessons, weekly memory verses, and consistent Biblical integration throughout the curriculum, students build a strong spiritual foundation. Our goal is to prepare them to live God-honouring lives—wherever and however He leads.

We aim to instill lifelong curiosity, discipline, and confidence in our students. Whether they are preparing for Zambian National Exams or a future in international education, students are taught to approach learning with enthusiasm, responsibility, and purpose.
In keeping with our diverse student population, our academic program supports seamless transitions to both Zambian and international schools, including those in North America, the UK, and beyond.
Our students’ self-development is nurtured through a combination of academic learning, spiritual guidance, and community living. We provide a secure and loving home environment, helping students understand and love the Word of God and the Gospel, guiding them toward a personal relationship with Christ as their Savior and Lord. This foundation prepares students to become caring, confident, and responsible citizens.
At Sakeji, the spiritual development of students is a central focus, deeply integrated into both academic and daily life. We emphasizes the importance of understanding and loving the Word of God, and encourage students to develop a personal relationship with the Lord. This is achieved through regular study of the Scriptures, personal devotions, Sunday school lessons, and attendance of the local Lunda church.
The staff, comprising mature Christians, provide guidance and uphold the school’s spiritual values, ensuring that students receive both education and spiritual nurturing. Through this comprehensive approach, Sakeji aims to prepare students to live lives that honor the Lord and and shine as lights to those around them.
The school motto is ‘Tu Vero Permane’ which is the Latin summary of the verses: ‘But as for you, continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.’ (2 Timothy 3: 14-15)
Sakeji is a mission school, the aim of the school is not only to teach Godly and Christian standards but also to encourage children to enter into unreserved Christian commitment in life. This aim is supported by regular devotions and prayers throughout the school week, reading and studing of the word of God both personally and in a class setting.
The curriculum is broadly based on a international perspective to education, but incorporates subjects, topics, and activities relevant not only to Zambia, but also to the countries to which many of the children go for their post-secondary education.
