We invite you to explore our easy-to-follow application process, complete with clear guidelines and requirements, as you take the first step toward joining our family.

Pre-Application Considerations

Sakeji Mission School is a place steeped in history and tradition, offering a rich educational experience for children. Sakeji seeks to engage with families at the highest level of commitment to ensure the best boarding school experience. We are proud of the families that we have served over our long history and seek to grow this family as much as possible. As you apply to Sakeji, please take the following points into account:

Age Qualifications

To be eligible for Grade 1, a child must turn six before July 30th of the entry year. This ensures that students are developmentally prepared for the curriculum.

Grade Level Restrictions

Sakeji currently only accepts new students in grades 1 to 6 and at the beginning of each new school year.  The ideal circumstances is for all students to start in grade one as this gives them the highest chance of success. But we welcome applicants for the other grades as well.  This is of course also dependent on the number of spots that are open in each grade.

Transportation

Sakeji is blessed to be located in a beautiful rural setting. The school maintains accommodation for any parent free of charge,  who wishes to travel up by road.  Additionally the Sakeji PTA maintains a very active hand in arranging and coordinating transportation. It is common for parents to hire a private coach for group transport to and from school. Alternatively, Sakeji Mission School has a grass airstrip used by small mission-based or private aircraft, which provide a quick and safe option.

Costs

The mission does not charge for education. Student contributions are made towards the costs of your child’s lodging and food, but they do not cover capital expenses.  Much of the school’s infrastructure is funded through generous donations from Christians around the world who support the mission of Sakeji.
