Curriculum

All ‘homeroom’ teachers at Sakeji Mission School hold recognized primary teaching qualifications. Although not all of the missionary staff hold recognized primary teaching qualifications, most teach some classes where appropriate, according to their ability and interest.

Sakeji offers a broad range of additional classes to support a well-rounded education, preparing students in practical, technical, and extracurricular ways. By encouraging both creative and logical thinking, the school provides opportunities for all students to learn and grow—even in areas where they may not naturally excel.

Balanced. Diverse. Globally Relevant.

The Sakeji curriculum provides a strong academic foundation grounded in a North American framework, enhanced with materials and methodologies from Zambia, the UK, and other global education systems. This blended approach prepares our students to succeed in a wide range of educational pathways.

Our program is shaped around a core group of subjects taught in every grade, with additional practical, creative, and extracurricular studies offered to ensure a well-rounded education.

Fundamental Studies for Real Life

As part of a well rounded education, Sakeji provides additional classes in a wide variety of subjects. It’s the goal of the school to prepare kids for life in as many practical, technical and extra curricular ways as possible. Fostering both a creative and logical approach to many areas means that students who may not excel in one particular area are offered alternative opportunities to learn and master new skills.
